After a lot of hard work behind the scenes over the past 6-8 weeks, I’m delighted to unveil the official 12for12k Challenge promotional video.
My sincere thanks to our creative partners Susan Murphy and Cheryl Gain for bringing together the collection of images and videos into what you see here; Rob Lane and his incredibly talented team at Overlay.tv for their post-production work; Jack in the Pulpit for allowing us to use their song for our theme; and last, but by no means least, you guys for sending us your own video clips of support.
We’ll be releasing slightly different versions of the video throughout the year to make sure we include everyone that’s been involved – you can see who they are here. In the meantime, please share with your friends; tweet and re-tweet it on Twitter; have it on your blog; have it on your Facebook profile; and let’s get the video out to as many people as possible and spread the word about what we’re all trying to achieve.
For now, enjoy the video.

Amazing Job in the Video! Gonna throw it up on my blog – did you get it into YouTube yet? Well Done!
@SocialPMChick
Awesome video, Danny. I'm so proud of you and the 12 for 12k Challenge!
Nice work Danny. Good to see a few familiar faces in the video, too.
Thanks guys, and thanks to the creative team behind it. And will we see your good faces in the next one?
Great work Danny. 12 for 12k is an incredible project that this video helps further define. I'll be spreading the good word!
Hmmm. I am all for anything that is for improving the planet and the lives of the people on it. But I don't "get" this video. You need war machines and weapons to make your point? What Point? The video doesn't say much about what 12for12 is or does and and frankly it doesn't compel me to go find out. I am thinking that the previewers (you did test it on some people before publishing didn't you?) must have all already been "in the choir" and maybe they "get it" because they have some background, but, and I mean no offense, I think you need to go back to the drawing board and get feedback from people who never heard of you (try a professional agency – they might get onboard for free ). I wish you the best but I think you might be hurting your own cause here.
Hi Victor,
Thanks for your constructive criticism. When you watch the video, you'll see that War Child was the charity supported in January. Hence the weapons.
The message "12 charities, 12 months, 1200 people, $10 per month" I believe explains the reason behind 12for12k. I'm also guessing that since you're here, you either clicked the link in the video to come to the site or you knew about it through the social media channels we're using to spread the message. Which is how we're spreading the message.
Excellent vid, look forward to seeing further versions
Given some say I have a face made for radio and a voice made for blogging, it might need a few takes to submit a video message of support. Heading off to stick badge and links on to blog. Good luck Danny & all involved, keep u the fab work
Wow, that video is incredible. What a wonderful thing you are doing and I would disagree with a prior commenter. This video evokes emotion and made me wanting to know more. Great job, great cause. I will see what I can do.
