The 12for12k Challenge is “the combination of social media and fund-raising.The concept: 12 months of the year, 12 charities, a different charity each month,$12,000 per charity.we believe in giving back and sometimes it’s the little things that count the most. survival kits

Very true, Danny. Very true.

I'm glad you wrote about that because I've been through that situation a few times - and then I started going out of my way to make conversations with people I knew were a bit lonely - like my elderly neighbor. I go there every Sunday now just to say G'day and chat about the good old days and listen to all her amazing life stories. I used to think I was helping her by visiting, but really - I'm the lucky one because I get to share her amazing life, every Sunday, over dinner, little by little.

Thanks Allen. It's true; I think we often forget about the tiniest of things and how they can make the biggest of differences. I know I'll never be able to find that little old lady but she's one of the key reasons all this is happening. I think (hope) she'd be happy to know that :)

I'm glad you posted this, Danny. it not only tells the story of what inspired 12 for 12 K but serves as a gentle reminder to all of us.

Much needed, alas.
