As you may know, 12for12k has partnered with EpicChange to make this year’s Tweetsgiving a colossal success.

For those who don’t know, the goal of Tweetsgiving (11/24 – 11/26) is twofold: 1) Create a viral expression of gratitude and 2) raise money for a school in Tanzania. See http://iheartepicchange.tumblr.com/ for more info.

THE 12FOR12K MISSION FOR NOVEMBER

**** Here’s your mission: Encourage 10 of your friends join a global expression of gratitude on YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Posterous and blogs within the 48 hours of Tweetsgiving. It’s all about your community and your connection to them. Lead them with your life! Show then you care!

*How? Email them, tweet them, message them on Facebook, pick up the phone, have pizza with them – whatever works. It’s not about being pushy. It’s about giving your friends a chance to express thanks for whatever they’re thankful for. It could be a new job, overcoming an illness, awakening to something within their life, chocolate chip cookies – anything at all!

****The money raised will go to support a school in Tanzania AND will give you exposure – or at least a seat next to Buddha in the afterlife.

HERE’S WHAT WE NEED TO DO NOW:

STEP #1. Join the Community: http://epicchange.org/register

Join the Tweetsgiving community. Please include “12for12k” at the end of your display name. For example, John Haydon – 12for12k, Danny Brown – 12for12K, David Holliday – 12for12k, etc. This makes it easier to identify and/or meet other 12for12k folks.

STEP #2. Find our Tribe(s)

An invite-only group called “Wild Turkeys” has been created. Click on groups and find “Wild Turkeys” under “W”. Please join this group and any other group you’d like – but at least join “Wild Turkeys”. Important updates will be sent out to the community as Tweetsgiving approaches.

STEP #3. Make a Pledge

Ok, this is very, very important. A few sponsors have offered a matching pledge IF we have 500 people pledge $10 each. Everyone in the community is pledging $10 each to take part. It only takes two minutes and the sooner you can do it, the better.
